Under the regulations set out in the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR), which come into force on 25 May 2018, enquiries cannot be answered nor regular updates on the Trust’s activities sent to friends and others by mail or electronic notification unless we can show that you have actively opted-in to receive these communications, are clear about the information that will be held by the Trust, and the purposes for which it will be used. You have the right to ask for a copy of such information at any time and can withdraw your consent to some or all of the information being held at any time.
The Trust holds the following information as a result of enquiries made to ‘Ask the Expert’ and ‘Become a Friend’:
The name and email addresses of those making enquiries or asking to become friends.
The appointed officers (Chairman and Secretary) use the information for the purposes of communicating Trust activities only.
If you are happy for the Trust to hold your information as specified above please signify in the appropriate tick box. Your authority will be deemed to last for three years unless you inform an appointed officer in writing at the address below that you wish to withdraw that authority. Requests for a hard copy of the information held on you by the Trust can also be requested in writing.
